Transport for London (TFL) recently utilised the Temporary Traffic Signal Controller base on the refurbishment of the Bank signalised junction in central London. This system enabled the relocation and surface mounting of the existing control cabinet during the refurbishment works. All the traffic signal poles were also removed and erected into the NAL reusable foundations. This resulted in the entire site operating as normal with the ability of moving the equipment if required to simplify the civils installation.
The entire system allowed the project to be completed with the little disruption to the public and minimal traffic management requirements.
