Project Description

Smart Power Pillar, Bond Street, London

To assist in providing power to market traders, Westminster City Council chose the NAL Smart Power Pillar which allows traders to be responsible for their own power consumption by utilising pre-payment technology. The pre-paid smart card is simply scanned on the pillar which registers how much time or monetary value is remaining. When time on the card has depleted users can access a nearby computer, using booking software to add more credit.

The pillar has been designed to be installed in the NAL Retention Socket System allowing a fast and easy removal when required.
