Project Description

North York Moors National Park Illuminated Bollards

North York Moors Park Illuminated Bollards

During upgrade works North York Moors National Park Authority chose NAL Retention Sockets for the installation of a large number of illuminated bollards on the main entrance of the visitor centre.

In choosing Retention Sockets the installation is simplified because civil and electrical works can be kept entirely separate. Retention Sockets and STAKKAbox™ Modula access chambers are installed prior to the delivery of the bollards, avoiding unnecessary on-site damage to the furniture. To simplify the cabling of multiple bollards the Retention Socket Tee Bend was selected. Each socket is connected with ducting which is positively connected to the STAKKAbox™.

Should any of the bollards be hit by a vehicle or require other maintenance they are easily demounted from the Retention Socket with just a key and spanner, requiring no additional civils works. When a Retention Socket is left without an application installed, they are safely sealed with a pedestrian plug, which is stored in the side chamber of the socket.
