The NAL 4 Way MULTIduct system was used by Worcestershire County Council at a traffic signal scheme on the inner ring road of Worcester City. The system was chosen for the road crossing as the dual carriageway had numerous services restricting the depth to which the signal ducts could be installed. The MULTIduct was installed with a 300mm cover, eliminating the risk of strikes to the main services and reducing the excavation time.
The MULTIduct was connected directly into the STAKKAbox Access Chambers in the footway.
Once the civils works were completed, the traffic signal contractor, Telent, were able to easily pull the cables through the MULTIduct crossing.
