Ductile Iron Cover

The Ductile Iron Cover was fitted onto the NAL STAKKAbox during the redevelopment of the A303 Countess Island. The manhole covers were used to access street lighting and traffic signal duct networks.

Each cover is constructed from a high quality 500/7 grade ductile iron, which comply with EN 124 European standard, D400 – 40 tonnes.

The covers used on this project included both hinged and a slide out access allowing easy removal by a single person.
