RS200 & SIS | West Sussex...

The RS200mm Retention Socket foundation system and the SIS SOLO underground were used on a recent passively safe lighting column scheme on the A27 near Bognor Regis. Within six months of the installation of the scheme one of the columns was knocked down in a single vehicle collision. Accident reports showed the occupants of the vehicle were uninjured; the SIS SOLO underground isolated all volts to the individual column on impact allowing emergency services to attend a voltage free site. The Retention Socket enabled the damaged column to be removed and replaced safely without the need for any  lengthy, disruptive and costly civils works.
