All Retention Sockets have a uniquely patented ductile iron or cast steel head. This head securely retains in position various sizes of non illuminated posts by means of Stainless Steel Setscrews which are located in a recessed chamber within the head. This chamber is protected by a B125 Ductile Iron locking lid.

Retention Sockets eliminate the need for costly and disruptive excavations after knockdowns, allowing posts to be removed and replaced in minutes simply with a key and spanner. All posts installed in retention sockets are permanently removable allowing maintenance to be carried out easily.

There are a wide range of sizes available and each size can be supplied in various depths to suit site conditions. Bridgedeck Type units are available for installations which have severe depth restrictions. Non standard sizes and profiles can be manufactured to suit customers specific requirements.
