Project Description

Spigot Feeder Pillar, Cardiff

Spigot Feeder Pillar

During the renovation of a set of traffic signals in Cardiff, the local authorities chose the NAL Spigot Feeder Pillar for supplying power to the signals controller cabinet. The system was installed in an NAL Retention Socket, allowing all civil works to be completed prior to any electrical installation, removing the need to wait for the electrical distribution company. Additionally, in the event of a knock-down, the pillar can be removed from the socket and replaced in minutes causing no disruption to the public.

Furthermore all pillars are manufactured with a gland tray, removing the need for carcinogenic base seal making installation safer for installation operatives.
