Project Description

Retention Socket, Westminster Railings

Retention Socket Non-illuminated

During the refurbishment of a railing system situated in ‘The Mall’ Westminster, the NAL Retention Socket was specified to simplify the installation and future maintenance of cast iron bollards.

By utilising the Retention Socket system the railings are fully demountable, enabling the local authority to clear the railings for annual events. In the event of vehicular collision the system enables maintenance works to be carried out without the need for costly civils works, which are required with traditional foundations saving the local authority expenditure which can be designated for other projects.
